Upon arrival, a member of our staff will meet you at Queen Alia International Airport, assist you with visa and take you to your driver at the airport lobby then transfer to your hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to Rabad Castle (Ajlun castle) you will visit the Islamic military castle of Ajloun. The castle was used by the Islamic armies of Saladin to protect the region against the crusaders. And next destination will be Jerash You will visit Jerash, the Pompei of the East. You will enter Jerash through the monumental South Gate and find yourself wandering around in a Roman city. You will walk in the Oval Plaza surrounded by colonnades, visit the Roman theatre and Byzantine churches with mosaic-covered floors. Enjoy a stroll along Jerash’ main road the Cardo and pass by the Nymphaeum. Jerash has been covered by sand for centuries, the main reason why it is still so well-preserved. You may experience the marvellous acoustics of the theatre, the stage of the Jerash music festival which takes place every year. And see for yourself how the Romans built the earthquake-proof columns of the colonnaded streets. Evening back to Amman, enjoy the night highlights of the capital of Jordan, dinner at your hotel or at nice restaurant, overnight.
After breakfast your driver will pick you up and you will head north from Amman to the Eastern Desert. You will visit three of the region's famous desert castles built by the powerful Umayyad dynasty in the — UNESCO-listed Qusayr Amra, Qasr Kharana and Qasr al-Azraq. Qusayr Amra was once an Umayyad hunting hideaway. The impeccably preserved castle is now best-known for its 8th-century frescoes that depict hedonistic scenes of nude women, wine and wild times.
Next stop is the impressive 2 story Qasr Kharana where Mesopotamian, Arabic and Greek influences are all apparent inside its walls.
Qasr Al-Azraq is a built from black basalt and was built as a hunting lodge by the Umayyads, but is more famously known as TE Lawrences headquarters in more recent history.
You will be transferred back to your hotel in Amman.
Breakfast. Departure through the King’s Highway, an ancient route that still has marks left from traders, armies and pilgrims who crossed it centuries ago, which was once part of the ancient Silk Road. Visit the Christian Town of Madaba, which is known as ‘The City of Mosaics’. You will be visiting the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, where you will see the masterpiece of Madaba (a Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land that goes back to the 6th century, showing Jerusalem and other cities), you will also visit the Archaeological Park, which houses the remains of several Byzantine churches, including the amazing mosaics of the Church of the Virgin. The park complex includes a school for the restoration and conservation of ancient mosaics. We will then go to Mt. Nebo, which is considered to be one of the most important holy sites in Jordan, as it is believed to be the place where Moses climbed from the Valley of Moab, and from where God showed him the Promised Land, as well as Moses’ last resting place. It features ruins from the 4th to the 6th century with marvelous mosaics adorning the grounds of the church still visible. Proceed via Wadi Al Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views. We will continue our journey to the city of Kerak, where we will visit the Crusader’s Castle, with its diverse history dated from the Byzantine to the Mamluk period, and get to know the architectural military brilliance of the Crusaders. Continue south to the hotel in Petra. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast. We will start our journey to explore Petra, aptly described as the “rose-red city, half as old as time”. The ancient city was founded by the Nabateans 2000 years ago. Its massive architectural structure and its multicolored stones are an incredible attraction. The visit of the ancient Nabatean capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. Towards the end of the Siq, you will be spellbound by Petra’s most famous monument; the Treasury. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the city. Overnight at hotel
Breakfast. We will start our journey to explore the Monastery in Petra, known as Ad Deir, is a massive monument carved into a mountainside, larger than the Treasury. It is located high up and requires a challenging hike of about 800 steps to reach, although donkeys and golf carts are available to help with the ascent. The building, constructed in the mid-1st century AD, was used by the Nabataeans and later as a church during the Byzantine period, which is how it earned its name
After breakfast proceed to Beida, also known as little Petra and the place where the Nabateans used to entertain their guests. Continue south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan’s largest desert and one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world. Jeep Tour inside the Wadi. Watch the most beautiful view while drinking a cup of traditional Bedouin tea. Transfer to the campsite inside the desert.Dinner and overnight at camp.
Breakfast in your camp, followed by free morning in Aqaba, situated on the gulf of the Red Sea. Guests can swim, snorkel, dive or just relax. Lunch in Aqaba , followed by afternoon glass boat trip for all guests to explore the beautiful coral reefs situated in the Red Sea. Followed by gala B-B-Q dinner on the hotel beach then O/N in hotel.
In the morning travel via Wadi Araba, ( where you will enjoy the sand dunes ) and the costal between Jordan an Israel, where peace signed in 1995, and will arrive Dead Sea the lowest point on earth, check in at your hotel and will have free time for swimming float, mud, dinner and overnight.
In the morning you will be picked-up from your hotel and proceed to enjoy Amman city tour and start with Jebel al-Qala’a (the Citadel), with its remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, Umayyad Palace and excellent views over downtown. The National Archaeological Museum, home to ancient findings from the whole country, is located on the Citadel grounds. Continue to the impressive Roman Theater, the largest in Jordan, with room for 6,000 spectators. The small Folklore Museum and Museum of Popular Traditions are adjacent to the Theater and a short walk through the souks and markets. Explore the city further and proceed to the Rainbow Street, one of Amman’s oldest suburbs with very interesting architecture from the 20th century. Enjoy a short walk in the street with an option to visit the small antique and local shops. Proceed to Jabal Al Weibdah for a walk through its alleys. Transfer back to your hotel in Amman.
Breakfast and checkout of hotel, followed by transfer to the airport for your departure. End of the tour.
