Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival - Amman

Upon arrival, a member of our staff will meet you at Queen Alia International Airport, assist you with visa and take you to your driver at the airport lobby, then transfer to your hotel in Amman.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Amman - Ajloun - Jerash - Amman

After breakfast, transfer to Rabad Castle (Ajlun Castle) to visit the Islamic military castle of Ajloun, used by the Islamic armies of Saladin to protect the region against the Crusaders.

Continue to Jerash, the “Pompei of the East”. Enter through the monumental South Gate and wander through a Roman city, including the Oval Plaza surrounded by colonnades, the Roman theatre, and Byzantine churches with mosaic-covered floors.

Enjoy a stroll along Jerash’s main road, the Cardo, and pass by the Nymphaeum. Jerash remained covered by sand for centuries, which helped preserve it remarkably well.

Experience the marvellous acoustics of the theatre, the stage of the Jerash music festival held every year, and see how the Romans built earthquake-proof columns along the colonnaded streets.

Evening return to Amman, enjoy the night highlights of the capital of Jordan, dinner at your hotel or at a nice restaurant, and overnight.

Day 3: Amman - Madaba - Mt. Nebo - Wadi Mujib - Kerak - Petra

Breakfast, then depart via the King’s Highway, an ancient route once part of the Silk Road and still marked by centuries of traders, armies, and pilgrims.

Visit Madaba, the Christian town known as “The City of Mosaics”. Visit St. George Greek Orthodox Church to see the famous Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land from the 6th century, then visit the Archaeological Park with remains of Byzantine churches, including the mosaics of the Church of the Virgin, as well as a school for restoration and conservation of ancient mosaics.

Continue to Mt. Nebo, one of the most important holy sites in Jordan, believed to be where Moses viewed the Promised Land and his last resting place. See ruins from the 4th to the 6th century and mosaics still visible around the church grounds.

Proceed via Wadi Al Mujib, a deep valley offering one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views, then continue to Kerak to visit the Crusader’s Castle and learn about its history from the Byzantine to the Mamluk period and the military architecture of the Crusaders.

Continue south to Petra. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Petra

Breakfast, then start exploring Petra, aptly described as the “rose-red city, half as old as time”. Founded by the Nabateans 2000 years ago, Petra’s massive architecture and multicolored stones are an incredible attraction.

The visit begins on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs.

Towards the end of the Siq, you will be spellbound by Petra’s most famous monument, the Treasury, as the tour gradually unfolds the mysteries of the city.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Petra (Monastery)

Breakfast, then begin your journey to explore the Monastery in Petra, known as Ad Deir, a massive monument carved into a mountainside and larger than the Treasury.

The Monastery is located high up and requires a challenging hike of about 800 steps to reach, although donkeys and golf carts are available to help with the ascent.

Constructed in the mid-1st century AD, it was used by the Nabataeans and later as a church during the Byzantine period, which is how it earned its name.

Day 6: Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum

After breakfast, proceed to Beida, also known as Little Petra, where the Nabateans used to entertain their guests.

Continue south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan’s largest desert and one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world.

Enjoy a jeep tour inside Wadi Rum and take in beautiful views while drinking a cup of traditional Bedouin tea.

Transfer to the campsite inside the desert.

Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 7: Wadi Rum - Aqaba

Breakfast in your camp, then transfer to Aqaba, situated on the Gulf of the Red Sea.

Enjoy a free morning in Aqaba: swim, snorkel, dive, or simply relax.

Lunch in Aqaba, followed by an afternoon glass boat trip to explore the beautiful coral reefs of the Red Sea.

Enjoy a gala B-B-Q dinner on the hotel beach, then overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Aqaba - Dead Sea

In the morning, travel via Wadi Araba, where you will enjoy the sand dunes, and along the coastal border area between Jordan and Israel, where peace was signed in 1995.

Arrive at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, check in at your hotel, and enjoy free time for swimming, floating, and mud.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Dead Sea - Amman (City Tour Of Amman)

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and proceed to enjoy an Amman city tour, starting with Jebel al-Qala’a (the Citadel), with remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace, and excellent views over downtown.

Visit the National Archaeological Museum on the Citadel grounds, home to ancient findings from across the country.

Continue to the impressive Roman Theater, the largest in Jordan, with room for 6,000 spectators, and visit the adjacent Folklore Museum and Museum of Popular Traditions.

Enjoy a short walk through the souks and markets, then proceed to Rainbow Street, one of Amman’s oldest suburbs, known for its interesting 20th-century architecture, with an option to visit small antique and local shops.

Continue to Jabal Al Weibdah for a walk through its alleys, then transfer back to your hotel in Amman.
